Vickery Place is located in Greenland Hills’ immediate south. Vickery Place is one of Dallas’ oldest neighborhoods and has homes built in Craftsman, Prairie, and Tudor bungalow styles. On the other hand, Greenland Hills has original Tudor homes featuring stained glass, archways, and hardwood floors.

  • Charming area with beautiful Tudor homes
  • Centrally located close to Downtown Dallas
  • Great accessibility

Local Lifestyle

M-Streets is a charming area that gets the quiet serenity of a suburb while being just close enough to Downtown Dallas to get all of its benefits. This makes the neighborhood perfect for both families with children who wish to raise their children in a welcoming neighborhood and young professionals who want to be close to large job markets in Dallas.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Since M-Streets is a residential neighborhood, you will have to look nearby for most dining and shopping opportunities. The following are some of the best in the M-Streets area.

One of the most popular restaurants in the area is HG Sply Co. This rustic spot serves a menu full of classic American fare alongside craft beers and cocktails with rooftop seating. The original Charlie’s Creole Chicken is also in the area, serving New Orleans-style dishes with a casual bar. La La Land Kind Cafe is a quaint coffee and tea shop with a dog-friendly patio.

There are also many great food shops in the nearby area. Sprouts Farmer Market and Trader Joe’s are excellent shopping options for your weekly grocery pickup as they specialize in organic and natural grocery items. Another specialty store to visit is La Michoacana Meat Market, a supermarket chain that sells many Hispanic groceries, meats, and baked goods. Consignment Heaven is a great store to find antiques, furniture, lighting, art, and accessories.

Things to Do

M-Streets also has many great places to visit for leisure activities and fun. Whether you want to spend some time outdoors or at a local event, there’s something fun for you here.

One great place to go for outdoor fun is Glencoe Park. Located just north of the M-Streets neighborhood, Glencoe park is home to courts for basketball, a softball diamond, a tennis court, and various trails for walking and jogging. Another great green space in the area is Abbott Park. This park is home to a tennis court and a large children’s playground, as well as paved walkways. Cochran Park, located just south of Vickery Place, is home to a tennis court, a playground, and a lot of open space for walking and picnics.

There are several restaurants in the area that offer live music events, such as Terilli’s, which hosts jazz performances. Granada Theater is a historic venue built in 1946 that hosts everything from live theater to popular concerts. Next door, Sundown at Granada is a great restaurant that has a large built-in stage perfect for hosting live music performances and private events.

    Welcome to Highland Park

The Beverly Hills of North Texas

Between its over-the-top estates and the high-end boutiques, Highland Park has become synonymous with luxury.

First incorporated in 1913, Highland Park has held on to its status as a self-sufficient municipality independent of Dallas, even though it’s a mere four miles from the city’s center. Often referred to as “the Bubble,” it’s a desirable, 2.2-square-mile haven for Dallas’s moneyed movers and shakers.

Named for its prime perch overlooking downtown, Highland Park may be Dallas’s most desirable home base. Its hedge-lined streets, top-notch schools, and bounty of glamorous shops epitomize the ease of Park Cities living.

    What to Expect

    Super-luxe shopping and society soirees.

The Spanish-style Highland Park Village, considered to be the first self-contained shopping center in the country when it opened in 1931, is a mecca of upscale retail (think: Hermès, Dior, Chanel). Dallas’s most stylish denizens can be spotted sipping margaritas at Mi Cocina and attending premiere parties at the Village Theatre.

    The Lifestyle

Family-focused with an appreciation for the finer things in life.

Parkies, as the locals are called, prize their town’s serenity, safety, and award-winning public schools. Families fill their calendars with lacrosse practices, tennis matches, charity lunches, rounds of golf at the Dallas Country Club, and attending premiere parties at the Village Theatre.

    Unexpected Appeal

    Cinematic parks.

The neighborhood’s numerous parks are admired for their elegant tranquility. The crown jewel, Lakeside Park, is known for its teddy bear statues and the thousands of azaleas that bloom every spring. Each holiday season, the lighting of a massive pecan tree known as the Million Dollar Monarch is a cherished spectacle.

    The Market

Jaw-dropping mansions that wouldn’t look out of place in Beverly Hills.

Highland Park’s leafy streets are lined with sizable, multi-million-dollar houses framed by immaculate landscaping. Grandeur and opulence are the norm in what may be Dallas’s most prestigious neighborhood.
