Celina

Located 40 miles north of Dallas, Celina was established in 1876 – “Old Celina’ began to grow when the railroad came through town in 1902. Residents moved the town’s actual main street eastward toward the track and the result is where the town square stands today. Celina is known for its celebration of authentic culture. Come and enjoy its many events such as the famous CajunFest, Parkfest, Friday Night Farmer’s Markets with live music, movies on the Square and the Splash and Blast 4th of July Celebration. Local wineries are offer fun exploration.

Celina ISD is known for its schools and built its reputation not only on academic excellence but a spread of extracurricular programs including a wealth of state championships across many sports. Go Bobcats! Celina ISD serves over 96 square miles of Collin and Denton counties.
